In the middle of Morocco, in the old city of Fes, a young boy named Abdou found his purpose in a way he never expected. It was 1999, and Abdou was only 9 years old. He spent his days watching people come and go in the busy streets of the medina, surrounded by history and culture. One day, a foreign couple, lost in the winding streets, asked Abdou for help. With a big smile and a few English words, he guided them to a nearby restaurant. The couple thanked him warmly. That small moment changed Abdou’s life—it sparked his love for meeting new people and sharing his country’s beauty with them. Abdou’s family wasn’t rich, and like many others in Fes, they worked hard just to get by. But Abdou always held on to hope, dreaming of one day showing visitors the real Morocco. He wanted to offer them not just directions, but experiences they would never forget.
After finishing school, Abdou became a marine officer, a safe and stable job. But his heart wasn’t in it. He wanted to follow his passion for tourism. Even though it was risky, Abdou made the brave choice to leave his marine career and start over from nothing. Abdou began organizing small desert tours for travelers he met. It wasn’t easy—the days were long, and there was no guarantee of success. But with every tour, Abdou’s love for his country grew, and so did his determination. He built his business on honesty and the desire to make every guest feel welcome in Morocco. In 2018, Abdou met Reda, a developer and entrepreneur with similar dreams. Together, they created Private Morocco Tours. It wasn’t just a business; it was their way of sharing the beauty of Morocco with the world.
